Vegas, Part Two

The rest of our time in Vegas was a blast.  It was so nice having John around.  Sunday we had a fun family morning walking around the Strip.  Then Jane offered to keep Chase so that John and I could gamble a little bit.  John watched and kissed $32 good-bye.  I blew $8.  Vegas is not staying afloat from us!!  But it was interesting to watch people just change in $100 bills and walk away from the table 2 minutes later.  I was bored after awhile so took a walk and went into one of the malls for just a bit.  I returned when my flip-flop feet had had enough.

When we picked up Chase, we went swimming with Jane and Ella.  We went to their fancy pool.  It was nice and Chase liked it well enough.  They still wanted the hot pool though.  It was a lovely evening.  When the pool closed at 7, we went our separate ways.  We picked up a pizza on the way home and then packed.

Monday morning we got up, ate, loaded and then met Jane and Ella at Mandalay Bay beach area again.  John had requested this and Jane made it happen!  We had a blast.  It was quite a bit hotter this time.  We ate lunch together and then it was time for us to hit the road.  We left about 1:00 and immediately hit traffic heading out of town due to a horrific accident.  They air-lifted the victim(s) out of there.  That sort of puts a damper on the end of vacation...thinking of life and death.  We were thankful that our departure time did not interfere with the accident!  We still made it home in good timing and safely.  Chase did well again.

It was a great journey.  I'm so glad we did it.  I didn't know what to expect.  I would highly suggest going with little ones.  I think once there is an awareness of what is going on is when I would think twice.
